Gareth has not had such a good reputation on this forum in the past, however, on this occasion I have spoken to him personally and he came across as very genuine.

I hope it goes ahead we need something like this!

Let's not revisit any of the old silliness eh?

That was the old Pro9 web site, and a lot "water has passed under the bridge" since then, and it's all ancient history as far as I'm concerned.

Pro9 would be willing to help promote this event, just like we help every single one of the events that contacts us.

If Indie says this is a serious proposition then that's good enough for me, and I would have absolutely no hesitation offering support for Gareth's venture.

Shouldn't we hear the details before we consider this matter out of hand?

I am called Simsman2 because I got banned as Simsman when Nick Hampton runned the site... When Big Dave became owner of the site he asked if I would like to come back on the site again at BPPPA Colchester. When the new week came I reinstated myself back on here. Thought I would call myself Simsman2 because the username and charecter of Simsman died and also put the 2 on the end so people still know its me and because I have a 2nd chance AKA a new begining.

Big Dave I dont think anyone was or is going to visit the old days... were just having a little joke mate! Thought I would just add a little humor but nothing to be kicked off... Im sure you see the funny side!

From what I hear there will be an interesting format for this tournament,

Winner of lag in each round will choose to play 8 Ball, 9 Ball or 10 Ball.
With races up to 21 in 9 Ball or 10 Ball and 15 in 8 ball, This will sort out the men from the boys!

That's the most stupid format I ever heard. A better idea is to play best of 3 sets with a different discipline each set. Then maybe the winner of the lag each chooses the discipline and has choice to break. Now that sounds like a good format!

I don't want to re-vist "old silliness" but I suspect it's just around the corner ...

Deciding disipline based on the lag seems a little silly...
