Just curious as to how having to cancel one event could upset the whole calendar?

Perhaps we could do with a better explanation than this? I know the tour has struggling a bit due to lack of support at some events, has this taken it's toll financially?

Yes I was expecting an announcement of sort but I'm surprised at this one. Clearly there are some issues that need to be sorted out if the tour is to have a future and this announcement really doesn't explain things.

Daryl obviously has other priorities at the moment but Mark Segal has had a lot to say about the tour in the past so maybe he could enlighten us now as to what the future holds.

This is a real shame.

Well done to Daryl and Mark Segal for trying take the sport in the UK to a new level. It seems that the UK just isn't ready for professional pool yet.

Maybe we should all take up darts !!!!!!

I agree and it's really frustrating. A few years back I thought we were getting somewhere with the BPPPA starting up, then the EPT - the devils playground just a few years back we always hosted both the World 9-ball Champoionships in Cardiff and the Mosconi Cup in London. It seems as things have gone global little blighty gets left behind :-(

Wow!....chill fellas.

I am certain that the EPT is staying put. there are just a few things that are going on at the moment that need to be sorted out before we move forward.....as you all can understand, i am a little tied up at the moment so we felt it was best to just halt for a while until we are ready to move on.

Hope this helps.

Hi Darrell, Thanks for taking the time to reply to this I know you have other things on your mind right now! So we shouldn't think there is more wrong here such as financial troubles?

Daryl any idea how long this will take to be sorted?

I've booked holidays off work and paid my flights to Birmingham in July to play in my first EPT comp, would be gutted if it was changed?

Thanks

Davy

I think with the IPT coming a cropper it doesn't help the EPT. But there is no reason the 8-ball magic can't live another day. I think the demand is there, I think with a comp down south it will have good support, Hopefully there will be some EPT action going on this summer....
