Races to 5/6 doesn't really float my boat but I'll probably give it a go for a bit of Sunday afternoon fun.

BTW - the so-called pro's (of which I am definately not) will need a bit more info I suspect especially on prize breakdown if they are to enter this. I also think that with races to 5 you might struggle to get interest.

I echo Riggers comments, races to 5 / 6 is a lottery and may not attract attention from any of the big boys. Also a breakdown of prize money would help to determine if theres any value in it for the 'pros'.

why do we always have to base comps around pro's why can't thay just turn up to support the person who is running it. not the fact that if there is not enough money im not getting out of bed for that!!!!!!!!!

Right guys,Riggers,Surgeon this one is for you.
If i get around 16 players it will be top 4 with 1st 50%,2nd 25%,3rd and 4th 12.5%.If i get around 32 players or more it will be top 8 1st 33%,2nd 17%,3rd and 4th 10% and 5th-8th the ramaining 30%.I might make some changes here and there but it should look something like this.As for the matches,i don't want to have this event going on into the early hours of the morning and if possible i will up the races maybe to start with race to 7.Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

I've spoken to the manager of the club and we have agreed to have the 1st round matches race to 7.On the poster it is race to 5 but cause some players thought it was a bit of a lottery we've decided on race to 7.As for the dubble.K.O after the 1st round this will also be race to 7 and upwards.

I can't move posts from thread to thread, so I've cut and pasted Cowie's message here in the "official thread" for this event.

I hope that is OK Chris.

Hey everyone

Just wondering what sort of turnout we're gonna get next weekend for the comp being held in Manchester?
