Just a reminder for any of you guys who havnt already entered the EPT Manchester open yet, that i will be in Colchester at the weekend so if you dont want to send a cheque or pay online then you can pay me in person and i can give you a receipt. The response since launching the EPT a short while ago has been unbelievable....the first event in Manchester is gonna be a great event with lots of big givaways besides the guaranteed prize fund of over £8000!! Just like it says on the website, this is the players tour so any feedback, comments, ideas, info, or complaints that you may have about the tour, or the way it is run etc, are taken very seriously in order to make this the best and biggest tour around. so dont be shy, lets hear from you at info@empirepooltour.com and lets make YOUR tour a real success!! One question for you Daryl... how will the seeding work after the first season?
ie. When will the top 16 enter the event? (Sorry if this is already on your website but I couldn't see it)

No probs Mikey.
Well the plan is to have a brief meeting/discusion before each event with all players present. Here players will be able to put there points across and we will be able to see the response from everyone. I have ideas and plans for the EPT in the near and distant future but if the players are not happy with these plans then it wont work. ..... as i have said many times now, the EPT is the players tour so any imput you guys have is better for the tour in the long run.
As for the top16 seeds......with the exeptional early response we are having from all players, who is to say it wont be the last32 seeds? This first event in Manchester will be a good gauge to see how quickly we are able to make forward strides with intesions to taking our game to another level....the more runners there is gonna be at events, the more money will be on offer. But its not all about the prize money, what about holding our future events in large hotels like the English pool game has? What about TV coverage for the finals? What about your ranking enabling you to get into other extra events? All this and more is in the pipeline but for this to happen we need the full support of all the players.....and dont forget..........Rome wasnt built in a day!
I know this doesnt exactly answer your question Mikey, but i hope it gives you a view of what the EPT wants to do for the future.

Cheers Daryl, sounds good Getting UK events out of Rileys clubs & into hotels will be a big step forward! I'm hoping to make it to Manchester for the first comp, how many runners have you got so far?

Have you mentioned the tour to the European boys while you were at Germany. Are we likely to see appearances from more non-British players?

To be honest cusack, most of them semmed to already know about it anyway!!....i must say though that there was a significant interest from the Euro boys so expect that there will be a few at Manchester....depends on flight costs i guess.
