THE FINAL
IMRAN MAJID def CRAIG OSBORNE 10 RACKS TO 9
well the final was unsually a tense affair, this could be coz it was the late hour in which it was played, especially after a long days play or which is what i think is that winning at mickey flynns is very special for any player, and as it was our first 10-ball event the winner knew he would write a little peice of history.
and it was craig osborne who all throughout the final looked as if he was going to steal the show, not only playing some pretty good pool but also capitalising on some rare imran mistakes.
but as we all know imran is at his most dangerous when starring defeat in the face, he just could not get close to craig everytime he looked like getting back he would throw in a careless shot and you could sense the crowd was almost in misbeleif especially as the final was winner break, i say this coz i was informed by martin correa that imran had recently ran a 5pack at 10-ball and also a 5pack at 13-ball, but in the final imran could not make a ball on his break until the 17th rack unbeivable.
I'm sure craig will admit that at 9-7 and 9-8 he had his chances but in the end could not finish 'the maharaja' off, something in which alot of players can own up to, in the end though the two best players on the day reached the final which is how every tournament should finish, the 2 best players going head to head.

IMRAN 'THE MAHARAJA OF POOL' MAJID is all smiles after his epic win in the final
