Just a reminder, this sunday sees the frist 9 ball tournament to be held at Coventry Hertford place rileys. Only £5 entry fee, all entries to be given out in prize fund.

The tournament starts with an initial group stage followed by a straight knockout.

I've had a couple of emails asking questions so i thought it worth answering them on here in case anybody else has the same questions.

Dress code? There is no dress code

Parking? The club does have its on car park exclusive for users of the club, however, it is pretty small so getting a space depends a bit on luck. There are other parking areas nearby, if in doubt, please ask in the club.

Number of Entrants? This is the first time we have run a tournament like this so we can only make a guess. A monthly english pool tournament attracts between 30-40 players. I am anticipating around 40.

Payouts? Obviously the prize fund is directly linked to number of entrants, but the emphasis will be on enjoyment levels so the prize fund will be distributed as widely as possible.
Example: 40 players = £100 first prize, £50 runner up, £15 losing semi finalists, £5 losing quarter finalists.

Start time? This is on the flyer (see above magnificently posted by Big Dave!) 12 0 clock midday start.

I think this answers all the questions i have been asked so far

Jamie,

Sorry I can't make this mate as I'm away the weekend. All the best with it and hope you get the turnout you'd like.

I'll definately be up for the next one!

Thanks to everybody that managed to make it yesterday, 34 entrants from as far away as kent and berkshire.

The tournament was eventually won by Ben Moore with a great comeback from 8-4 down against Tim Singh to take the final 9-8.

I will be looking at the calender this week and try to identify a date in about 6-8 weeks time to run another tournament, although i will probably increase entry from £5 to £10 to increase the prize fund.

provisional date of March 18th for the next tournament (i think this is the only possible date to hold one in the next 3 months!).

entry will be £10 though to increas prize fund and hopefully increase number of entrants. Also trying to get some money added to the prize fund but no guarantees at this stage
:-D

Well Done Jamie...

I know how hard it is to organise and play! Must be the 'warm up' you had the weekend before....

Sorry I couldn't make it, promise to be at the next one.
