Thinking of playing in MickeyFlynns 8 Ball Tour, can anyone tell me if they have got some Pro balls in yet and if they will be used in the Tour for all matches etc.
Can't get on with the standard ones.
Cheers

Just to remind everyone... The next Mickey Flynns 8 Ball competition is TOMORROW!! (Sunday 25th Feb) I'm sure you all remember how successful the last tournament was with the winner Carl Morris taking first place. A large, high quality field took part and everyone had an enjoyable day. There are still places available in tomorrows tournament. As Ricardo mentioned, entry is £25 (£30 on the day) and the draw will be done live at 11.30 in the morning. Please ring Richard, Mickey or Danny on 01223 309000 to book a place. We will be screening the Carling Cup final as well!! Come on u Gooners! Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow, Stroker [ This message was edited by: Str0ker on 2007-02-24 13:18 ]

Disappointing turn out but it did not detract from the enjoyment. I really enjoyed the tournament and the format allowed everyone to get plenty of games. I was disappointed to lose in the last 6. This game can be down to fine lines and so cruel at times. One minute you think you are about to take the lead at a commanding time in the match, then your tip lets you down on a simple screw back, you miss cue lose the rack, opponent breaks and dishes, you dry break and leave dollies and then the match is over! I HATE this game at times but I know that tomorrow I'll love it again Well done Richard (and Shir for helping as usual). This was a really fun day of pool. yeah thanks for the comments, i too really enjoyed the day, i knew myself halfway through the week that entries were'nt looking great and i was trying to think of formats to use. normally with 20 players the group stages format comes in to play but did not want to use this as the last matches in all the groups usually mean nothing, so i somehow thought of how the derby city classic do their comps where every round is re-drawn and every player has a buy back option, instead of the buy back every player was automatically given the extra-life, this format worked extremely well and i urge all tournament directors to use this format as something to fall back on. the buy back not only give you an extra life it also adds to the prize fund, best format ive played. thanx again to shir, but in all honesty she cant help herself and she just takes over the running of the tournament and luckily she knows what she is doing [ This message was edited by: indiana on 2007-02-26 12:22 ]
