Looking forward to the live draw but the turnout (69) is quite disappointing. Is this down to the increased entry fee perhaps or maybe it's because it's another northern venue? Will be interesting to see the turn out in Harrow.
Anyway to all those who are in the draw, good luck everyone.

Have to agree with you Riggers......... i think its a bit of both maybe? I think the northern thing more than the entry fee though. Good luck everyone. -----------------

£90 is a little steep, although if the two tier system comes into place, i think this would make a big difference, with the lower league paying less. For you guys who play full time its negligible, but to those that work as well as play and have Mrs's who nag about how much you spend on your hobby etc etc.
As for numbers guys, Liverpool may be a great venue but its a derby weekend and i've had a nightmare trying to book accomodation. Maybe this has put a few off??

Shouldn't matter where is it all it means if you have a good weekend with the reduced field the more ranking points you will make and the task of qualifying for the top 64 even easier. Looking forward to event but as last year only 70 odd played at Manchester then it started picking up. Good Luck Riggers and everyone else!! Must be of the merseyside derby why a few are missing

Just seen my draw and if getting a prelim isn't bad enough they rub it in by lining me up against Mark Gray for the second tournament running IF I win the prelim. How unlucky is that? For Mark I mean

Possible Raybone vs Hill again! I'm sure Mick will want some revenge for Solihull. Boyzi vs Davies looks like another cracker!

the numbers are a lot lower than i thought jesus !!!
i only live 20 mile away so the northern thing wasnt why i didnt enter.
i didnt enter cause its 8 ball and the way i see it the EPT was only invented to help the IPT players get match practice and i figured since the IPT was almost dead and buried i didnt see much point.

I've not bothered because 90 quid for single elimination just seems like donating free money to the handful of players capable of winning.

Its a disgrace theres only 69 runners.Daryl puts a lot of hard work and effort into this tour and it should be rewarded instead of costing him money.Nearly all the field only have to win one match to get there entry fee back.Any half decent player who hasnt entered should take a good look at themselves.Because soon there wont be any decent pool comps in england

First of all, all you players that have entered, you should pat yourselves on the back because you are the REAL players. There are 2 types of people in life.....DOers, and SAYers. And it seems to me that there are a lot of the latter when it comes to the pool scene in the UK. A year ago all i heard at tournaments was "its goin backwards" .... "prize monies are trash" .... there are too many events" etc etc. This is only our 4th event and i beleive that you wont get a better run event than what we provide! You only have to look at the bppa to see that even they are copying everything that the EPT already did, so we must be doing something right! There is finally a tour that offers GUARANTEED money, with superb conditions at EVERY event and still there are loads of the "SAYers" that dont show their face. Nothing has changed here at the EPT......its exactly the same as what i said at the start......if you, the players back the tour by simply entering events, then i WILL provide a tour that will become a supertour, but this is obviously not how a lot of you players see it......your just happy to plod along playing in the same old events where you are basically just playing for your own cash in a pot. We even didnt charge any memberships at all so that it would give opertunity to all players. We have spread the events across the country to try and be as fair as poss. If there is one thing good thats come out of this though, its that the EPT lead the way in how to run an event, and all the others have eventually cottened on, so maybe we might see an improvement elsewhere, i dont know! Dont anyone say i didnt try! But one things for sure, im a man of my word, and even though the EPT is set to lose another £1500 this weekend! .... the show goes on......... ........See all you players on Saturday. -----------------
