Pete Williams from Cuesport.tv has just posted links for the live scoring/draw for the China Open. Just thought I'd steal them and put them here just incase anyone hasnt seen Pete's post.

www.cuesportnews.com/9-ball-china-open-players-list-announced/

Live Scoring: http://cms.top147.com/index/wl.php?cid=20

Full Draw: http://www.top147.com/news/2012shpool/draw_man.php

Live Scoring saying that;

Chris Melling    9-8    DAI Yong
Darren Appleton    9-0    David Van Den Berg

Cant find any of the other brits on there yet.

i lost 9-8.. i made one bad mistake and one bad safety besides that i played good. compared to my opponents 3-4 bad mistakes.. 8-6 up he breaks and run 8-7 i break make 4 balls but cue ball gets kicked others wise i was the winner.. play safe opponent nearly scratch.. i play safe but leave a tiny gap.. he attempts long shot misses by a foot but get lucky snooker me..i play good kick but leave him a edge he swerves the cue ball slightly and cuts the ball in and runs out..then he break and run at 8-8..:-(

last chance tmrw i play 2010 champion zhang...3.30pm break massive guaranteed 2-3 balls on break super fast cloth and big pockets...

elsewhere

mark gray lose again 9-5 so he gone two and out..
another losers bracket match so shaw miss easy chance at 8-8 against peeach so 9-8..

Yeah this is a funny event....pockets are big and break is way too easy.
......to give you an idea, I broke and ran 5racks in my first match and lost 9-7, and broke and ran 6racks in my 2nd match and only won 9-8.....and could have easily lost!!
Also, the cloth is super fast and the Chinese players are used to it....we are not, so it's very easy to lose the cue ball.....that's where most mistakes are, losing the cue ball.
In this field of 64 players, 25 are from China or Chinese taipie....and they are ALL at least very good, and some are great players!
Mark Gray drew 2 Chinese and so did Chris....and because they know the cloth, it's hard to gain an advantage on them!
Chris plays John Morra to qualify, a very good Canadian player who as improved a lot recently.
Karl has to win 2 matches, his first is against a Chinese player, not sure yet who he plays if he wins.
Darren plays Chang yu lung, very good Chinese taipie player who has won this event in the past.
I play liu haitao, top Chinese player who just played in world cup of pool with Li he wen.

Also, in the Ladies event, Allison and Kelly fisher have both qualified for the last 16 in thier event with no scares.

.........the crazy thing is, unlike most other events, this one has 40 players who could realistically win the title!!.....but to do this, talent alone is not enough. It's literally a coin toss because of the equipment, the break is EVERYTHING, or rather, the layout after the break.....just need to be able to see that one ball!!!
.........just win the lag and break and run 9racks.....simple hey???? Hahaha

Crazy situation for a so called major. Something similar happened in the 8 ball when they played winner breaks race to 8 with big bags. It's about time the WPA intervened and set minimum standards of equipment and rules for major events. They should be leading the way and setting direction rather than just lining their pockets.

PRO9 has established an outstanding reputation as Europes No.1 source for information on American Pool in the UK and Europe. Upcoming tournament details, prompt match reporting, exclusive images by talented photographers, superb articles by expert pundits, active pool related forums, player profiles and a very sophisticated membership - basically, an incredible information resource for the American style game in Europe.
Since it launched, PRO9 has become compulsory reading, not just for the UKs pool players, but to hundreds and thousands of pool obsessives from around the world every single day.
PRO9s members range from professional pool players, cue-sports enthusiasts, club managers, tournament organisers, pool fans and aficionados, as well as various "movers and shakers" in the cue-sports field, including entrepreneurs in the wholesale and retail sector, as well as magazine editors and television sports promoters.
Growing more and more popular every single year, PRO9 is the best placed vehicle for the promotion of your pool club, billiards brand, associated products, services and opportunities in the truly massive pan-European billiard market.
