Last I heard was that Tommy Donlon was playing Michael Valentine and that Raj Hundal was playing Damien Overton in the semi's.

Does anyone know who won??

Good turnout !!!
A long weekend for me and a lot of others. A big thank you to RILEYS again for a venue totally unsuitable for a comp! This is getting a bit annoying.! So as this was the fault of Rileys then it should be Rileys who should get the flack for it, I just cant understand that a company like Rileys who are the biggest in the UK for this game, are just being a total waiste of time. If it was me who held the Balls at Rileys i would be saying to myself that this game is starting to take off in a good way, and we are the best placed company to take it forward??? But all we do is give the UK Tour, clubs that are just not big enough to handle a comp!?
WHY is this happenning???????????
Come on Rileys start pulling your finger out your accounts and give us something back!!! And maybe it may be better for you in the future, cos i feel that you could miss the boat!!
Steve.
Well done Tommy.

Fantastic achievement Tommy. sheer class. Tommy was so close to going out on saturday though (sorry sunday 1.30am!). He was 6-4 down to Appleton who had a great chance in the decider.

Yes, I felt for Daz because he knew he should have won that match. Even at 6-6 he was on a nailed on clearance but he slghtly underhit the shot on the 4 making position on the 5 less straight forward and it all went downhill from there. It's very unusual for him to make a mistake like that when it really matters. Respect to Tommy though, winning 3 tour events on the trot is a great achievement with so many quality players around.

This was the first event I've been to and I was very impressed with how well organised it was. It was a challenge to get that many matches completed with so few tables.

My only slight criticism would be that the initial matches on Saturday could have started sooner. Perhaps an emal or web-based registration could be introduced to allow players to register up to say Thursday night and then the draw could be made on Friday and sheets printed off. Then on Saturday all that would be needed would be for players to confirm attendance and pay their money. Of course people could register and then not turn up but that could easily be handled by insisting they still pay their entry fee and putting them on a warning for future events.

All in all it was a great weekend and I met a lot of new people. Can't wait for the next one.

Of course you're right with all your answers Daryl...

:D

But I was actually interested to note that you're all having a highly successful season following laser eye surgery.
