Jayson Shaw took Johnny Archer apart 8-5 and Jayson even scratched from the break three times, if he continues this form he can win this event, I even heard Johnny Archer say to Kim Davenport this kid is awesome he ain't scared of Jack, even Mike The Mouth Sigal is impressed with him, Raj Hundal won his 2nd match 8-7.

If he (Jayson) can go on and win one more match he could go thru along with Efren and Daryl into the last 36. An awesome feat for someone who is only 17!!! Superb!!!! [ This message was edited by: crashnburn on 2006-09-06 22:21 ]

Ok guys Daz Appleton won and Daryl Peach is just about to start against Jayson Shaw should be good and from what I have been told Jayson Shaw versus Efren Reyes is on the tv table but not yet confirmed by myself. Ok all I am Out of Reno in a few hours on my way to Atlanta for my flight tomorrow night back to Manchester sorry about the lack of updates but the Internet has been a nightmare to get in this hotel.

The boys are absolutely flying! Only 3 players in the tournament are unbeaten now: Busta, Boyzi and Mick! Add to that Dynamite & Dazzler getting through really tough groups. Then there's Ben, Yannick & Tony through (the latter 2 being honurary brits!) and it really is happy days! What a performance from the UK contingent!
I hope Jason is not too disappointed because for his first IPT event he's done fantastic and should be really proud.
Come on boys, bring it home!

I have to say that Alcaide surprised even me with a great performance, beating Rodney Morris, Alex Lely, Sandor Tot and Mike Davies. That lifted him up 80 places in the rankings.

Well it didn't surprise me! I bet on him to beat Morris and Tot! So I went against my rule of steering clear of a previously unlucky player because the odds were very good. Think it was 6/4 & 11/8 against David so I just couldn't resist.
I had 8 bets yesterday all singles and all but one were better than evens. 7 came in!

Come on boys, bring it home! Looks like Jaysons match with Yannick was the decider. Yannick winning 8-7 against the wee man. I'm gutted for him, but like you say to do so well in his first IPT and bearing in mind he is only 17 as well!! Still, he gets 15 grand in his hipper! Well done Jayson, you've done us proud. So who's gonna be the top Brit then? ----------------- Every man dies, not every man truly lives...

I was gonna say "Dynamite" but I don't wanna jinx him. So I'll say Boyzi, Dazzler, Mick and Ben as well. Hehe! If I had to put it in money order, that would be it. Go Guys! -----------------

They are all playing well but if I had to put my money on a UK winner right now I'd probably say Mick. He knows how to win more than any of them, he's put more practice in and he's soooooo confident. When Mick's in this mood you just don't mess [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2006-09-07 11:20 ]

Mick's a fantastic player and I think you are right riggers, he just edges it. I sincerely hope one of them wins though.... Mind you, how would your game be affected if you knew there was a 350k difference between winning and losing the final?

they wont be thinking about the money mate, they're already on a tidy sum for doing so well.

no contest! I've always picked 4 UK players who I think can compete with the real heavy weights at this game and Daryl is one of them. Don't think I'd say no contest though! All four are awesome and I think the other UK players know they have to raise their game to their level, which is a good thing when you have talent like Raybone & Shaw around because in the UK they can now learn from the best in the business.

Just to put in perspective how far they've come... Before the IPT started if I had to pick my strongest european nation it would have been Holland with Lely, Fiejen, Van Den Berg & Diks. Some would argue the germans are even better. But now who would your money be on if there were a four man team event at this sport and we lined up Boyes, Appleton, Hill & Peach?
