It's too expensive for me! The entry fee is the single reason that I have not entered any. But the organisers can do it however they want. Take it or leave it. I have no choice but to leave it! Jon. -----------------

from the organisers point of view........making money........
if they make it $500 will they get 4 times as many players?
$200, will they get 10 times as many?
i think they will make the most money with the higher entry.......$2000

Anyone going to the first qualifier at Riley's in Victoria? I think the high entry fees are to let players know whats on offer if they come thru a qualifier and the event in vegas in December a guaranteed $100,000 for 2007 so really money well spent if you make it onto the tour Cant see there being many participants at the qualifiers probably be about 12 or so at London next week possibly. Depends on how much they want it i suppose!!!

thanks This is why I will be trying at least one, if not two of the APN satellite qualifiers.... At £25 each, and a chance to play a few racks, money well spent! Never really played American 8 Ball, so looking forward to learning the rules! Shaggy

Its better than english 8ball pool shaggy for sure plus if you fancy playing it more competitively then you should come to solihull for the next Empire Pool Tour event but also the APN comps are also a good way to learn and value for money especially for whats at stake - a spot in a IPT qualifier!!!

Just a quick word on the $100,000 that is to be guaranteed for every tour player next year.
I was looking at the 2007 schedule of events on the IPT official website, and going by that, a player who loses in the 1st group phase of every event only recieves a total of $23,000?
Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this?

Agree with the English 8 ball Crash. Spent 5 years running the league here in Cov for little thanks and sooooo much hassle. Will def be at the EPT event, but only to watch. Moving house, so have to watch the pennies! Might try to start a local league if Rileys (!) are ameniable.... Already committed to a 9 ball knockout monthly, but prefer things to run a period of time to reduce, hopefully, the luck element we all need. Shaggy
