Hi guys. Just wondering if there are many of you playing in the Stirling leg of the BPPPA next month? I missed last year's one due to work, but I'm going this year, so looking forward to meeting some of you in person, rather than on a forum! ----------------- Every man dies, not every man truly lives...

Hi Bruno, I am planning to come as we used to have some great fun with the old tour run by Doug in Kirkcaldy, so providing work doesn't get in the way I will be there

now then Bruno, I will definately be in attendance.
We stay at a fantastic B&B around the corner. The old dear even looked after me following a wild night out last year. It was the mother of all hangovers.
Get all the Edinburgh boys up too. Sanjay is in London at the moment, not sure if he can attend.
Will Blue_Suede be there? I need some guitar gear.

I went last year and probally one of the most enjoyable weekends I have had away in these BPPPA tournaments, the pool and other things. It was a shame there wasnt many people who went in it. There was only 40 odd players in it and I also remember not many people from Scotland went in it due to some 8ball tournament some where. I thought the club vennue was fine. It was also a magical weekend with The Cardman showing his magic tricks which blew people away with what he could do. Other players showed there tricks. I have to say I thought the night life was good with diffrent food resturants, bars & clubs which a crowd of us players did. Also the women I wont be attending this year, I am having a 1 BPPPA tournament off rest which will do me good because I havent played well this season and going through a rough patch in my game. Also I found it a hassel to get to as I had to get plane, airport bus to a train station, train there which took a while, but still had to walk another 10 or 15mins from the station to the B & B I was staying at. A tired journey. Also its located towards the end of the month so cash will be hard and it does cost money to go too if u live far away. I do advise go if you havent been. ----------------- Trust Me! [ This message was edited by: Simsman2 on 2006-08-15 11:24 ]

I love going to Scotland and meeting all the characters up there, we always have such a good time and it would be a real opportunity for me to get to chat with the friends I've accumulated over the years from Scotland. Not sure if the web site can afford to send me though - hopefully when the shop is open it won't be a problem, but until then I really have to watch the pennies. Fingers crossed!

I very much doubt i will be there......BPPPA have clashed with the IPT i think so many top players wont be in attendance! By the way, i missed the last event for exactly the same reason.....i will be at the next event in Solihull, but then will miss the next 3 because of date clashing again!!!!! ....I guess there is so many events lately, its hard not to clash. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: dazzler on 2006-08-15 11:27 ]

Si I dare say the usual suspects will be there Si! I havent seen any of them for a while as I've missed so much tournaments this year due to work, but I'm meeting up with a few of them a week on Friday when we head over to Dublin for the Irish tour. (To be honest its really a drinking weekend.....) ----------------- Every man dies, not every man truly lives...

Well, I'm not a happy bunny - I'm missing the BPPPA's trip up to Stirling as I'm in Eastbourne (aka "God's Waiting Room") for a big magic convention. I can't wait for the convention, but it would have been good to be able to see you guys again. Bit of a bummer for me, but make sure you all have a good time in Stirling! Not only does it clash with the IPT but it also clashes with the Euro Tour in Weert. I know where I'll be. Not really a tough a tough choice to make - play on tapped Euro Tour tables or Sam tables with nasty purple cloth, dead cushions, a slate that resembles the suface of the moon and cats chance in h3ll of racking the balls tight.
Shame cos that B&B the Diamond is staying at is top notch and its a good laugh but I'm at the end of my tether with the tables Rileys provide for BPPPA events. Its an insult to the players. How come they'll sort things out for the EPT but not for the BPPPA?
Any plans to run an EPT 9 ball tour UKSM?
