Just a few days before the Eurotour Stop in Weert, The Netherlands, we're organizing the Amstel Beer Amsterdam Open 2006.

Purse: 14.000 euro guaranteed! First Prize: 5.000 euro!!

What's so special about this event? Well, how about the fact that there will be mini-tournaments held throughout the event? Or the fact that it's races to 11 (!!!). Or maybe this will interest you: it's double elimination ALL the way! And best of all, it's held at Club 8 Amsterdam, the Best darn Poolhall in Europe!

Check out the website for more info and see you there!

Do you mean this one?

Pro9'ers heard about it half way through last month - the www.pro9.co.uk article is here - but thanks for the reminder Dutchie!

I would love to come and do some LIVE reporting on it - Do you have many entrants yet?

I would love to go Andy... Pool, Travel and Food (not necessarily in that order) are what I live for and I'd love to be there, but it all boils down to time and finances.

You know what I mean! :D

"Amstel Beer
Amsterdam Open 2006
canceled!

Due to the sudden resignation of tournament director Dave Goldstein it's impossible for Club 8 Amsterdam to organize a Amsterdam Open within this short time. So this year there will be no Amsterdam Open! "

www.amsterdamopen.nl

OMG It's true! Oh what a shame! :-?

Well it did clash with the International festival of Pool in Spain, maybe you could go to that instead?

Does anyone know why Dave Goldstein has resigned? Did he just resign as tournament Director for this one event or is he taking a break from the pool scene entirely?

Dutchie?

There might still be a few places in the Malaga tournament that weekend, I can check if anyone is interested.
