correct me if im wrong but how come efren reyes has not been on tv yet?

this is a joke, not only is the man a legend in all cue sport disciplines he also won the king of the hill so you would have thought he would have been shown alot

I absolutely agree,.,.,. ive been wating for him for the past few days since the tournament began,.,.,. although im thinking that it is actually working for him,.,.,. not being on the spotlight but might just emerge in the final,.,.. you know,.,. although i still consider alot of the player in round five has actually a good chance,.,.tc

He has played a couple of matches on the tv-table, but he has played late matches. These matches will be available on DVDs.... :(

I suppose it is Eurosport that has asked for a lot of O'Sullivan's matches, and that they prefer Europeans on the screen...

I've covered this in another post but I will here too...

O'Sullivan has been on the tv table most because when people are flicking through channels they are more likely to watch if they see a familiar face!

This is why Jimmy White and O'Sullivan are mentioned in every IPT information paragraph on Sky!

People watch something when they see a familiar face and they tune in when they see a familiar name.

Efren Reyes is only a familiar name to us pool players. Ronnie and Jimmy are familiar names/faces to the majority of UK and Europe!

(even my nanna watched the IPT because she saw Ronnie)

Fair enough, us pool players would prefer to see Efren and other pool greats once in a while. But IPT is a business and needs viewers to promote itself and the game!

Which I think also benefits pool players more! More viewers = More prize money! and also more young people taking up the game!

Spot on there Danny. It did become a Ronnie O'sullivan Roadshow, not That I'm complaining, (Did he get a nice £50,000 appearance fee or something for all his promoting. ie being on TV constantly and saying the 'IPT is great and I'm still learning' etc????!!)

But variety is the spice of life and you can get bored of watching same british player. Maybe Daz and Dazzler will get a chance in the spotlight now. C'mon lads!! :-)
