Sigel v Jones right now playing in the "World" Championship, makes me laugh a little :) Phil Yates commentating :D

I wonder if we will be getting IPT commentary or Eurosport commentary for the upcoming live events?

Since nobody else has, I'll ask the question. What did you all think of it?

Personally, the match was nowhere near the best I've seen (methinks that'll be different this Saturday for the King Of The Hill match between Sigel and Reyes) and you could hear one of the production team counting down to the ad breaks and interviews.

However, I could listen to Phil Yates commentating all day. All the little factoids that he comes out with proves that he is not a snooker-only pundit, but someone who is willing to read up and learn about pool - something that a lot of snooker types are not willing to do. I only hope that he'll be doing the majority of the commentary for the IPT coverage we'll be getting in the coming year.

What did the rest of you think?

Best wishes

My opinion is that the standard was so poor, it was making me think I could do better. They kept running IPT qualifyer adverts during the commercial breaks and that is what I think the point of it was.

They wanted me (the viewer) to think I can do better than that, and rush out and part with $1500 to enter a qualifyer!

I did go and have a bash on my table at home, and yes I was better, but NO I wont be parting with cash to enter a qualifyer!

The other thing that struck me, was that Sigel is every bit as much of an annoying girls thingy as he ever has been!!!

I was a bit surprised he was constantly talking, at first i thought it was to his opponent, then the crowd but eventually caught on, it was to himself.

Very strange guy, I know Earl does it too but not to the same extent and same consistant degree.

Quite a funny thing was that one guy *celeb actor i think* Mike was talking to him but he just gave a puzzelling expression like. erm i didn't say nothing but Mike is like contiually comment.

"I AM TELLING YOU. i can't see the pockets"

"I dunno what to do??!" etc etc

Made me want to switch off at times.
