Hey, I saw it this time... Not too bad at all, although the snooker club changed the channel as soon as Imran started being interviewed because people were arriving to watch the footie). Maybe it's better with a Brit winning it!

I guess I'd like to see some more atmospheric stuff... People having a good time and general wide shots of the event as well as the coverage of the matches. I met the main commentator at the IPT Press Conference in London - he was a very friendly and enthusiastic about the game too, and I think he does an excellent job, filling the dead spaces with interesting factoids and points of view. There seemed to be a slight miss-match between the sound and the picture occasionally as the cue-ball would scratch on the break and the commentator would still be saying "Hey, watch that cue-ball... Where's the cue-ball going"? I'd like him to be accompanied by an expert player each time who could analyse the shots and let the viewers know what it's like to be playing out there - I think that would add value to the production. All-in-all it was nice to see highlights from the EuroTour, and even nicer to be able to see Imran entering the record books as the first Brit to win a EuroTour event. There is more Euro Tour Pool on Eurosport 2 on thursday & Friday this week at 4pm both days. I think the first one is Italy again & the second one is Germany.
