Congratulations go to Mark on another fantastic achievement by a UK pool player. Following on from the amazing achievement of Daryl, maybe Mark will be next years world champion.
Great to see the UK stars like Mark, Daryl, Imran etc doing us proud.

Yeah, it's been a fabulous year for ALL the players in the UK! I always knew the UK would totally rule the big ball game - I just didn't realise it would take so long!

A big well done from all of us at Pro9.

Awesome achievement. To have 3 players in the top 6 ahead of Souquet etc, is amazing and for a country with a small number of serious players it is outstanding.

I'm sure Mark will learn what he needs to learn. The way the equipment is set up a massive break is not what's important so why would he spend a lot of time on it? Mark knows what he needs to do well to win these tournaments i.e. play solid and consistent and tweak less than your opponents. It will be interesting to see what happens to the equipment in the worlds next year and how Mark gets on in his first attempt.

it will, i heard about another break rule coming into force, for the Mosconi cup. the thing is it doesnt matter what they do to the break, people will find a way to master it.

Yeah looks like Matchroom are copying the 3 point rule from the Euro Tour for the break shot.

For the game though its not the result that matters its purely got to be about drawing more of an audience, "O'Sullivan = Household name" the others are to a non pool player unknowns. The bigger the audience the bigger the sponsors and hopefully one day this would come down to the level of the UK tour and then down further and hopefully 9ball will soon emulate UK8ball but with more success and have County, Superleague, and league nights all over the country and become a popular sport. I say become a popular sport as now if i was to ask a lot of my friends they would say its a game to mess around at while drinking..........even golf you don't drink till you've finished lol. Darts has the same background, but even that has more TV coverage!!!!
