Sorry mate, but I don't think I've ever seen a nice one that I thought would be perfect. Electronic darts scoreboards seem to get used a lot. If you DO find something perfect please let me know.

right kool, i got a feeling that might be a bit big.
Good scoreboard but i think he wants one about the size of/maybe a little bigger than a football substitute board. Just a basic one that has two sets of numbers that count upwards. I have had an email back about this and will PM anybody that wishes. (riggers and Big Dave i will Pm you in a second)

I'd love to get a system in place for GB9BT like they have on the Euro whereby the scoreboards at the tables automatically update the tournament desk and results board but their system does a lot more than that and is probably overly expensive and over engineered for what we need. Like you say Ad a good start would be a simple 2 sided display with +/- buttons and a reset button.

yea that sounds good. I would probably be able to design a system maybe like the eurotour one. I dont know how long it would take but i'd probably be able to do it in an excel document. I might give that one a go as a project lol

surely the way forward for GB9BT is to have a very large breasted naked woman by each match table..
when you win a rack she prittsticks your score on her left or right side depending who won the lag..
you then throw some glitter at her chest and hay presto you've got youself probably the most sexist and degrading to women scoreboard in pool...
hope this helps..

Tried that idea Adam but Rileys wouldn't allow it Ads, the main expense with the EuroTour will be the need for laptops at every table so I think a simpler idea is needed.

rileys eh....
they just dont see it from the players angle...
another reason to have your own pool room...
on a serious note, almost eveyone owns a laptop so i'm sure 16 could be rounded up without putting anyone out.....

thats true. I do have a system that i use for running my tournaments on an excel package. Bascally, how it works is players pick a number from one to 16 (normally we have around 13-14 players as it is only £3.50 entry). The system then allocates them numbers to a position on the double elimination grid (such as 16 playes 1, 15 playes 2 ect). on a seperate screen this shows all the matches and what order that they are to be played, you put the score in once its done and hey presto. It automatically puts the winner int he correct position on the double elimination grid and the loser on there's. It sounds complicated but it really isnt.
About the scoring all I done for my last mosconi cup thing between two of our local clubs was have 2 cork borads and some A5 paper with the numbers 1-13 (as the match was to 13 games). every time a team won a rack they would pin up another match so it was visible like that. You could get the numbers laminated maybe. (we had one set of numbers yellow and one blue so we knew who was who). Easy and cheap way of doing it.

What about the ones they use in the BPPPA in Rileys Manchester up on the match tables. Where can you get one of them?

Here's a link to a product that seems to fit the bill: http://electronicsusa.com/ck8000.htmlAt $360 seems a bit pricy though - esp if you need 16 of them! Surely Pro9 has some electronics enthusiasts out there? I'll keep looking though... BS
