I am organising charity pool competition at Coventry Hertford Place Rileys next Saturday (20th October).
A friend is particpating in the New York Marathon this November on behalf of The British Heart Foundation, in order to do this he has to raise 000's of £s in sponsorship.
30% of all entry fees will go directly to this very worthwhile cause, whilst the other 70% will form the prize fund.
The tournament itself starts at 11am and entry fee is only £10.
Initial group stages followed by straight knockout means plenty of value for money pool as always with coventry tournaments.
All matches are likely to be race to 5 or 6 dependant on numbers, and will be played to what i believe are EPA rules but any rules questions can be answered on the day.
Please spread the word to any english pool players you know, and consider entering this tournament yourself.
On the day there will also be a raffle with loads of sports related prizes (mostly coventry orientated though) including:
2 rounds of golf for 2
A 9 hole golf playing lesson for 2
Tickets to watch Coventry RFC play at home
Tickets to watch Coventy City FC play at home
Loads of Peugeot Sponsored Rugby World Cup Merchandise
Loads of Citroen Sponsored World Rally Championship Merchandise
A Pool Cue signed by Jimmy White
There will also be other side events on the day including speed pool.
