Hello Guy's, From 23-27th of January 2008 the 9th Open Weert is on again. Each year we have a "Special Event" on Saturdaynight wich attracks a huge crowd to watch the invited players battle it out for big money... Here a short history of the events: 2004 Mini Straight Pool Tournament winner Niels Feijen 2005 Ringgame 10-ball winner Francisco Bustamante 2006 7-ball Sudden Death winner Mika Immonen 2007 Scotch Double 8-ball winners Ortmann-Roschowsky 2008 ? Any ideas are welcome. Was thinking about a mini Mosconi cup but that will take to long. Play starts at 20.00 and has to be ended around midnight. Thanks for your help. How about a little Pro-AM? Get the audience involved, can be a quick little best of 5 knockout or something? Every pro involved can pick their partner from the audience (no other pros hiding in there)

Pro-am is not an option, because players have to pay a high entry-fee in order to win big money.
I don'think they want to play with an amateur and risk their money...

Run The Gauntlet
Have a feild of X amount of players.
First 2 names are drawn from the hat, single frame shootout winner stops on till the final 2 who play a longer race. Have all the players round the table to add to the tension of who is going to be drawn out next.
