I searched all the clubs for one with 16 tables so we could hold a GB9BT event in Wales but couldn't find any.

The distance between the to clubs is not far (Newport and Cardiff)
Don't know about the logistics Riggers but between the two clubs they have 16 tables - would that be a possibility? Half of the field at one venue half at the other - just to get an event in Wales.

Interesting concept! It could be done in theory up to the finals because it's single elim but then you have the problem of the cross over between the main event and the individual events, which would then make it logistically difficult unless you rigged the draws in some way. I'll keep it up my sleeve as an idea but I doubt it's a realistic possibility.

You could play all matches down to the last 16 (or of each event in two venues and then move the finals to one venue.

Yes but you still have to rig the draw so for example if you are in the half of the draw of the pro event where you need to be in Newport you need to be put in the half of the draw for the main event where you would play in Newport. So it can't be an open draw.

ah ha! I see what you mean now, I had forgotten that everyone played in the main event.
