If 5 North American players choose not to participate in the WPC, the invitation will most likely be forwarded to the list of players on the UPA rankings, starting from 13th place, and go down the list to maybe 25 or so. I really doubt that they'll give the spots to qualifiers...unless all the North American players on the UPA rankings boycott the event for whatever reason. Earl Strickland will still be in the WPC when he needs to use his cue as a walking stick.
Which isn't that far off!

I'm sorry to hear that Earl has personal problems off the table. He is one of my favourite players to watch and not just because of what happens between shots! He is a great player but the only experiences people remember are the "blow-outs", even without those he would be still good to watch. Whether it is from the UPA, or somewhere else it will be a long time before Strickland is left off the automatic entrants list. [ This message was edited by: mal_clarke on 2007-09-07 12:51 ]
