There is also a SAPPA event on but i would recommend that all the Scots lads go to the 8 ball in Barnsley then i might have a chance to win the one in Scotland LOL ----------------- [ This message was edited by: PC on 2007-08-01 01:21 ]

The one in Barnsley looks good. Seemed a nice club too. I think that the fact that the BPPPA rankings now seem pointless may put some people off though. What is the point in getting half ranking points when there are going to be only a couple more BPPPA events and BPPPA ranking will not guarantee a position on the "pro" section of the new tour.

I know what you mean Tony but whilst it won't guarantee a position the rankings will be one source of data we use to decide who gets in the pro division so for some people their BPPPA ranking could be very important. Nothwidstanding that, I don't see why that should put anyone off attending the event especially if they went to the Barnsley 8 Ball Open in June which was a great day for everyone with a fantastic field. We are hoping for the same quality of field this time and for a good turnout from the top English Pool players again. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-08-01 11:40 ]

I can appreciate that Riggers, spoke to a couple of people who said thay may not bother with it though. However I shall probably be there. The club was nice and really enjoyed the 9 ball event there (even though I continue to start my matches annoyingly badly ha ha!). Mind you I am probably the worst 8 ball player in the UK too lol, so a bye for somebody!

Ill be at the SAPPA with ze boys from NE. Now that isnt because I scratched from the break 5 out of 5 times the last time I was in Barnsley for the 8 ball. That hasnt swayed my decision at all.
