This should be really good fun!

Hope to see a lot of old faces there that are no longer playing too much.

Just a question for Dave / Doug, how are you defining "professional"?

Seconded on defining "professional". Does it mean currently plays BPPPA, Eurotour, etc? If so does that mean people like Ray Allard (former top 16 on Doug's tour), Luke Rollison (again used to play Doug's tour) are gonna be getting 3 rack starts?

There's under 10 players in UK who could really class themselves as pro. I assume Big D is referring to those types. And in a tournament such as that there's an easy way to define it... The organisers judgment and his decision is final! Simple

You got it Lee! That's the way it is going to be.
Imran and Tony give a 3 rack start. Ray and Luke will give 1 rack. So will Dave Mac if he wants to play. There will be more 'professionals' giving +1, +2 or +3. Chris B I think you deserve a +2 ranking these days. These starts have created a good response from amateur entries (who are the generators of the prize fund).
I got a three rack start from Imran in the first round last year and only lost 9-6 and I was quite proud of that.

If you want to play call me on 07830 376429 or Ian on 01243 531830

I would like to officially declare my doubts over Mr McCarthy's +1 ranking, or my +2 ranking :D

But whatever happens, count me in, sounds like fun.

Well Mike you would have to be giving amateurs a 2 rack start. Andy gives 1 rack and so would Stox. But Bradley would be the same as you if they played.

I have played Imran one handed on a number of occasions in the past and he is slightly in front on the head-to-heads.
But I did beat Wu Chia Ching in Manila last year. Then lost to Pei Wei Chang.

Hey Doug!

I haven't picked up my 9 ball cue in about a year and you expect me to give out starts?? :-)

I was bad enough in the first place!!

Being serious for a moment though, I'm trying very hard to be able to make it down for this one - would be great to see some old faces

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Chris. I've heard it all before. You'll just use a rack cue or is it a Sneaky Pete. But you are still welcome any way,
Besides we need the runners. To date we have around 30 and I would like to make the 48 mark.
So if anyone wants to play and they haven't contacted myself or the club, then get your finger out and do it!
Even Darksides are welcome. The details again:
Chichester Pool and Snooker Club, Terminus Road, Chichester on Sunday 19th August. Entry is 25 Quid
DG: 07830 376429 or 07935 310560
Club: 01243 531830. I will be there this evening
