First of all, thank you to all the players that made the trip to Sunny, rainy, Muggy Ipswich for the tournament yesterday.

Tony Drago won the day with his typical Exhibition style of play, Runner up Alan Millership played fantastic pool but just couldnt get his hand on the table in the final - leterally.

Alan came to the table with a potting opportunity once, and won that rack! - that was at 2-0 down, Tony won the next to go 3-1 in front - and then Broke n dished 6 in a row to take the title...

absoloutley breathtaking - Tony himself said "Thats the best session i ever played, in winner break competition"

more results will be posted here hopefully with some pics.
Will try and get these out over next 3/4 days.

lastly - Running a competition and trying to play is not recommended can seriously damage your health! lol

couldnt hav done it without the support of my Girlfriend (sorry - tournament director!) Hayley and also support from Courtney and Rileys manager Ross.

everyone seemed to enjoy it, chuffed with the comments people made. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Oz

Blimey lol.

Alan was playing some really good pool in our Quarter, he must of continued that to beat you Oz in the Semi.

Well done on the comp mate, great value for money...

And where else do you get a free burger and chips?!

Great tourney, thanks to Oz and Courtney
Due to all the excitement missed out on my free burger and fries.obviously was'nt that hungry.

Well done Alan reaching the final, sorry could not stay to watch you play ,sounds to me it did'nt take that long to finish with Dragos run out in the latter stages.
He was awesome when I played him in last 16,
Lost 8-4 but was chuffed to win 4 frames.
3 more than you I think,LOL

Again,well done mate.

Great to see familiar faces again, reallly enjoyed myself, thanks again fellows.

Sounds like it was a great comp. Well done Oz. Disappointed I had to miss it, so hope you plan on doing another one.
Congratulations to Tony for winning and also Alan for reaching the final.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys...

Gareth Espirit called and also said thanks, but did have one complaint - my shoes!! lol...

Being our 1st event there were obviously a couple of "behind the scenes teething problems" but we got there.....

Value for money was a key factor for us, and what with the free food and lots of pool i think we achieved that, and also attracted some very talented players, not just talking about Tony and Imran either - that goes without saying...

anyway - will post the results tonite when i get home and congratulate a few others then...

Yes a really enjoyable day. Good format with groups of 6/7 as meant you get to play a range of players and proves good value for money. Was really disappointed with myself after playing well in practice, ending up losing 3 of my matches 6-5 !

Oh well I will just have to improve for the next event that you hold oz!

Well done to Tony on a great win and thanks to you all for an enjoyable day :-)

thanks for a great tournament oz!

i enjoyed the format and managed to play well all day after my first match.

it was great to get to my first final in what i thought was a pretty strong field but then walked in to a tornado!!! lol. tony was phenomenal and it was great to watch, he missed 1 ball in 10 racks!!

thans to everyone for a great day and all the kind words written here and said about me on the day.

look forward to the next 1.

alan
