Looking to get a pair of the black sports shoes that everyone seems to wear on the Euro Tour, anyone know of any places to get them? Are they all a particular make? ----------------- Chris @ Pro9

Pumas? Huh!
Should be used for playing footie not pool IMO! What happened to cue sports players playing in smart dress including polished shoes? Sad to see standards slipping if you ask me.

The ones I've seen have a silver or white puma logo on the side so, no, they don't look like smart black dress shoes. They do look comfy though!

They are allowed on the Eurotour if they don't have the stripes on the side. A logo is permitted, but they need to be black leather shoes. ----------------- Ine www.inehelvik.com [ This message was edited by: ine on 2007-06-28 11:23 ]

Farce if you ask me! Trainers is trainers and they shouldn't be allowed IMO. Smart cleanly polished black shoes should be the order of the day!

yeah... but when they started using piquet shirts with the black pants they kind of ruined the outfit anyway... The trainers go well with the piquet ----------------- Ine www.inehelvik.com

Riggers - get a life mate. you dont have to be in the Army to play pool but if you wanna spit polish your boots before battle then feel free, You obviously feel quite strongly about this issue, if i were you mate id be concentrating on my pool rather than what people are wearing - this could be affecting your concentration levels. If you would like mate ill wear a nice pair of black stilletos to the next event, good 6' heel too so as long as you dont think ill then have an unfair height advantage, actually - i also have a little tuft of hair under my chin - should i shave that off too because i must admit, it does help cueing under the chin... in my last point of sheer frustration at your silly attempt to stop "Sports shoes" from being worn in "Sports Events" - can i just leave you with the thought that Ralf Souquet has worn similar shoes to myself for the last god knows how many years - maybe this is why he is so darn good!!! (not that good though cos Daryl seems to spank the pants off him everytime they shoot!!) but you catch my drift... oh yeah, i forgot to add - this is all in my "humble opinion" of course.... leave it wiv ya. Nice! Any chance of a link to the store that sell 'em Danny? Might just get a pair for the next event.
Oz - I don't feel strongly about it actually and am really more bothered about improving my game. But I do feel strongly about discipline at tournaments including respecting the published dress code like everyone else has to do (no matter what you think the dress code should be) and then respecting officials when they point out you are breaking it rather than swearing in front of them. That's what I feel strongly about.
