hi everyone, i have seen that mr simon widlo is now in charge of the bpppa website which is refreshing...but othere than on that site, do the current rankings get posted anywhere on the web ie: after colchester? I know bpppa never havd the rankings from after northampton until about 5days before colchester, and considering all the info is there it cant be too much to ask?  o yeah also is it my trash computer thats the reason none of the pics come up when im on this site? I think it probably is!

Rankings need inputting then verifying for accuracy. I'm amazed Si finds the time to do this on top of the extremely demanding job he has both in workload and hours. Plus he needs to put in the practise for his game just like the rest of us.

i realise that im sorry if it sounded like a dig as it wasnt....i thought that there was a bpppa rankings director?
No way a dig at simon if u ask me its a result he has come to the rescue!

By a strange coincidence I mentioned the rankings to Ted this morning before this thread was posted here.
He explained there was a very genuine reason that is beyond his control for the delay to the rankings for this event, and I would ask everyone to be especially patient this one time.

SmallDave (who is this by the way?), you've quite right pal, there was a delay in uploading the rankings from Northampton. Let me try and explain... I don't want to go into loads of detail, but as I'm sure you can imagine, there are a number of checks that need to be made before we can publish the latest ranking list on the web. Things like verifying the players bpppa membership status, checking, double checking & re-checking again (!) that the players accrued points are correct, both for the current period and for any points that may drop off their tallies. Once this list is produced, it is sent to various people for ratification and approval. Only then does it arrive in my inbox for publication. This process usually takes 5-7 days to complete. Over the last few weeks, each member involved in the process (myself, Ted, our rankings director etc) took some holiday, hence the delay to publication. Even web geeks need to see the sun every now & again you know :o)- LOL  I don't know if anyone else gets a copy of the ranking list I'm afraid (expect for BigDave maybe).
