Riggers... It would be good also to push the BBC for a spot on question of sport. That would get great coverage.

well were to start...........
firstly what a fantastic achievement......remarkable character showed through the upmost hostility at times..... i onced made the statement that no uk player could win the event for at least 10years....lol....and amazingly it was myself and daryl having the conversation at mickey flynns at the grand masters..lol.... a massive fair play and admiration from myself on what for me must be one of the best achievments in british history!!!... further on it his a huge boost to the pool fratenity lets hope the game can kick on and open new boundaries in the uk and beyond.... once again the character it shows as riggers said to be world champion at any sport is truly amazing.....I SHOULD KNOW.....we now have three world champions on the gb9 tour next year.....lol...lol...lol...
well done mr daryl peach
P.s saver the moment daryl enjoy every minute!
machine....... wow....look at this frikking guy!

Hi everyone....been back around 3 hours now...just thought id come on Pro9 breifly before going to bed as i am totally goosed! Firstly, i wanna say what a superb performance Karl put in here at his first attempt! We all knew he is a real talent...and he simply proved us all right in this tournament......Somehow i think his tournament odds will be a little shorter for next year! I wanna say a massive thanks to everyone who sent me texts of congrats (over 180 people) plus all the PM's, emails, and phone calls.....it means a lot to me and i dont forget. I have never felt presure like what i felt over there.....in all the interviews they kept saying throughout the tournament how cool i looked....but beleive me, under the mask i felt like i had the weight of the world on my shoulders! It still hasnt properly sunk in.....but the two things that i am most proud of, are that i somehow held my nerve, and that i won it in the Filipines.....the home of 9ball! The crowds made the event what it was, even though at times they were very hostile! Thanks to all the UK lads and lasses who got behind me, who were there in Manila! Just before i go, i have to make a few personal mentions.......... Pat and Shirly Holtz.....I think Shirly was more nervous than me at times, and when Pat wasnt commentating he was right there behind me! Des Morley (Flexi-rest) One of my sponsors and a real mate.....he was there at my side for every match, giving everything he had to compete with the huge Filipino crowd! And last but certainly not least.... ....My room mate for this tournament, Craig Osborne....This lad is an absolute star, like des, he never left my side. At every commercial break we went for a chat and a pep talk....and some of the advise he gave me was priceless!....And away from the Awesome Coliseum these guys helped me keep my mind off the tournament (a must because of the intesity of the matches) All this was key to my success, and i cant wait for the chance when i can repay the favour to you guys! Finally, just to let you all know.....i am doing half a dozen interviews tomorrow...a couple for Northwest radio stations BBC Radio Lancashire, and also TV interviews for Sky Sports News which will be shown on Wednesday. ITV Granada reports which will be shown at 6pm/6.30pm Tues. BBC Northwest tonight which will be shown Tues 6pm/6.30pm. I know not all of you will be able to view these as they are for the northwest region....but at least you know. Well thats it for now, im off to bed ..... Once again thanks everyone! ......always wanted to sign off like this.......... .....Dazzler....2007 Champion fo the World! -----------------

I'd have thought most of those interviews will be available through SKY in the regions sections where you can get the news programs from different area's of the country

Hi Daryl, Just finished watching the final on Sky+ was trying not to see the result anywhere but somebofy txt me Sun night to say you had won Anyway just wanted to say how proud we all are of you, I have been watching the world champs for the past 8 years (went to them all in Cardiff) and I can honestly say this was the best final of them all, you handled the immense pressure so well. Well done Daryl, you're the man. Andy Warden PS will buy you a pint in Barnsley! ----------------- Andy Warden, GB9 - Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor √ [ This message was edited by: cueman on 2007-11-13 12:05 ]
