Hi Gareth, things have certainly matured a great deal since our chat earlier in the year, looks very promising indeed. Can you share with us all your thoughts on payout please - is it winner takes all or a normal staggered breakdown?

Cheers.

Payout is to last 16,

Winner $10000

Last 16 $2000 (double your entry)

I don't have the rest of the payouts on me at present but I will try and dig them out

3-4. $3500
5-8. $2750
9-16. $2000

I run tournaments for over 10 years now, and it would surprise me if you get 32 runners who all pay the 1000 dollar!
But i hope you succeed.

On the other hand, i am still determined to hold my tournament on the same date, and i also received confirmations from well respected players, and people pay 50 euro's to compete for a first prize between 4000 - 7000 euro!
Former winners like Feijen, Immonen, Reimering, Ortmann don't pay entryfee at all.
So time will tell.
Wish you good luck though with the preparations for your tournament.

As long as it's not another APN ... you pay your money, someone says they can't be arsed and disappears with it ...

I fully wish you luck for it... it would be nice to see pool take off properly, with genuine professionalism ....

Hi Gareth, quick question... what's the plan for the rack?

will you have tapped tables? or Sardo Racks? or normal racks?

If it's normal, how will it work, rack your own, opponent can check? or rack your opponents? Or will you have referees racking? if so, can the players check the racks?

Another question.. are you planning to have a ranking for this tour?

Good question jonni...

Tapped Balls- winner breaks- break from the box-opponent racks..................

In regards to the Tour there will be a ranking for this....

The next event will be in Spain..............

Is it break from the box for 8-ball only or do you have to break from the box for 9/10 ball too?

After getting feed back from the players that will be here , we decided that to accomodate there worst fears,we would make the bottom end $2000 ..9/16th and reduce the top end... to $10000

1. $10000
2. $6000
3-4. $3500
5-8. $2750
9-16. $2000

very tight put together pot gaz

i entered with understanding it was 16k winner now only 10 without been informed why take so much of winner doesnt make sense to me!!

9-16 $1500 cover entry n expences!
5-8th $3000 good wage !
3-4th $4000
2nd $6000
1st $12000

think that would be better and fairer gaz and get the players vote!

Agree with Darren on this one. 12 000 looks better than 10 000, but 16 000 looks great.

On tournaments like this it is all about winning.

Internation Challenge of Champions in the US right now, where Niels Feijen won, is 50 000 $ WINNER TAKES ALL.

I know it was winner takes all but i imagine the players would have split the money or at the very least done some sort of saver.
