absoloutley gutted for tony like daryl said, i think its time for a new format to decide these groups maybe a play-off if players are tied So i take it apancho and reyes is through as a result of that? Surely the tournament people would say something if that was fixed?? Poor Tony, would be gutted also.

Just got back from the venue.....i was commentating on Darren Appletons match with Busta...... Darren had a nightmare!!...lost 8-1..i didnt think that busta played that well but he did have a couple of rolls and Daz didnt get anything! Pat was 6-4 up when i left so he is playing well and looking good to go through. Steve Davis played well again, hes looking slightly dangerous by the way! -----------------

The Yang who is one of the favourites (Yang Ching-shun) is the guy who beat Raj today. The Yang Pat beat is Ricky Yang from Indonesia whereas Yang Ching-Shun is from Chinese Taipei. Still a great result for Mr. Holtz, though! Thanks, Chris. [ This message was edited by: Chrstc on 2006-11-06 23:05 ]

Don't get distracted Dazzler - just focus on winning your games. Then it won't matter who's throwing what games.....good luck

Better still for Pat is that he's now beaten Santos Sambajon by 8 racks to 2 meaning that he goes through to the last 64 with a 100% record. Well done, mate! You've done yourself proud. Now, keep it going! Best wishes thecardman www.scottish9ball.com The Cardman's Blog

Pats playing some good stuff by the way....he looks focussed on the job at hand. Kev Uzzell made it through with a close 8-6 win over C Calabrese of Australia. ......Expertfluke, dont worry mate im on this.....lets just see what happens. -----------------

So far a lot of big names have already fallen: Pagulayan, M.Davis, R.Morris, Feijen, Hybler, Sambajon, Drago, Lely, P.W.Chang and Alcano with a lot of other big names in danger. This new format was meant to favour the "big names" but this has not happened.
On the plus side the Brits have done well with 5 having already qualified and Raj and Daz Appleton also looking good for qualification.
