looking forward to hearing how this unfolds. we have taled about a comp like this for ages. Cambridge boys VS Ipswich Men etc... but weve never actually managed to get it on..
depending on the results of this and how the timescales work we could put an offer into them soon.
Good luck to all teams - should be a good laugh anda great days pool.

Just got back from this. A big congrats to Rack n Roll who beat us (Moseley) in the final. Deserved victory today I think.
A great day of pool which all our team enjoyed immensely.
A big up for Andy Warden who pulled off the inaugaral event of something that will surely run and run judging by the reaction today.
And thanks to Big DK for covering the event.

Well played lads.

cheers andy it was a really enjoyable day. its interesting to play as a team for once which adds a different kind of pressure to your shots especially when we got down to the doubles. i was discussing with dave symmonds how you tend to play better positional play in that format so you dont make life difficult for your partner. perhaps the key to prime positional play in singles is to pretend you have a partner to set up instead of yourself?

Great report and photo's but where is the pic of team Solihull? Ooops! Poor old Team Solihull - Sorry about that! Here you are - and I've added you to the report now. This was a really fun event - I imagine the club did very well from beer sales, as there was a real party atmosphere. A very successful format, definitely one to be repeated. Thanks for inviting me, I look forward to the next one. ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

I should also mention that Paul Burnett won the plate taking away £60 cash and £5 club cash with Tony Fry the runner-up taking £30 and £5 club cash. Congrats to both of them too!!
