RugRat, question about the Norway qualifier....
Will this be sized to payout sufficient funds to pay for flight & hotel & entry into the main tournament or just entry into the main tournament. If it's the former what happens if a UK player wins the qualifier? Will they receive a cash alternative to the flight & hotel?

Just so everyone knows there is still 1 spot left but there is quite a lot of interest so get your entry in quick if you want to play.

Hi all, I have now received 10 confirmed entries and the field is as follows: Stuart Colclough Geoff Edge Simon Fitzsimmons Mark Hopgood Matt Hyden Neil Jenkins James Kay Jonathan Mathers Dave Sandford Gary Stewart If there are any more entries between now and the qualifier the only way they will be accepted is if the format changes. As it stands the qualifier will be played in 2 groups of 5 with matches being a race to 4 alternate break. Top two players from each group will qualify for semi's with the semi's and final being race to 8. Matches will start at 10.30am and groups and fixutres will be relased on pro9 on Sunday night. There will be one guaranteed place into the Grand Masters. [ This message was edited by: cusack_147 on 2007-01-05 11:23 ]

Its a tough field but I reckon its between James Kay, Mark Hopgood and Matt Hyden. Close call though!

If there are any more entries between now and the qualifier the only way they will be accepted is if the format changes.
This is now the official field for the qualifier next Sunday and no more entries are being accepted. I stated when info on this qualifier was released it would be restricted to the first 10 entries received only and it wouldn't be fair on those who have already entered to change this. Also due to it being played on 2 tables it is hard to accomodate additional entries without changing the format from groups to single KO, again i dont think this change would be fair on those who have already entered. The format will be as originally stated: 2 groups of 5 with 2 qualifying from each group. All group matches will be race to 4 with the semis and final being race to 8. All matches will be alternate break. The draw for the groups will be made at 10.15am with matches starting at 10.30am.
