I think these qualifiers would need someone experienced in holding this kind of event to give it extra credibility.

The APN perhaps....?

Hi Karl,

I just had a call from Bob Harris, and he asked me to "put his name in" for the Grand Masters 8-Ball Open. He's in Thailand at the moment, but will be back by then, and he's mad keen.

I'd be interested in promoting the event for you, I can make a brilliant web friendly poster, and print full colour large postcard flyers virtually free... Seriously, I've got an affiliation with a printing company and they're brilliant. You can post them or hand them out. Obviously I can make web banners and articles too.

I'm quite keen on running a qualifier too!

Let me know as soon as you have more details.

yeah it would be good for someone who wants to run a qualifier but im sure if you and millsy looked beyond the 'grand masters' and held a qualifier for players who arent as well off, you get alot of players who would snap ur hand off at a chance play in such a great sounding event, dont know whether ur looking at this as a one off? but in the long term dont you think qualifiers will create more interest??

Or how about a double elimination? Race to 7, best of 3 sets, double elimination?

Not sure how long that'll take, and too tired to work it out, but just a thought off the top of my head..
