Great news for Roy there. Congrats to him. I'll have to go begging to Fred again for another picture!

:D

Some interesting stuff going down at the European Championships, some UK player forfeits and Wendy Jans disqualified from the 8 Ball?

What's the scoop Shirley?

Hi guys, myself, James Kay and Kevin Uzzell had to come home early due to a very bad stomach bug!....glad to be home but a big shame really for all of us as we were all playing extremely well...James was very impresive in the 8ball finnishing 5th just out of the medals.

I hope this clears the confusion up guys.

Ahhh, thanks for the update, unlucky there guys, well done for the medal Daryl.

Shir, I was wonder HOW it happened, did she forget that a ball didn't drop or something? Why did she carry on playing after not making a ball - I assume it was a mistake, but if that's the reason why did they decide it was "unsportsmanlike behaviour"?

her opponent: TR tries to pot the 3 in the left upper pocket, but it stayed between the jaws... then WJ tried to pot the 11 after the 3... but she failed on doing this. but still she continued with her inning...
when TR asked her if she made a foul, she denied this and went on playing.
and in another rack the tried to kick the 14 into the middle pocket but failed to do so, but ht eball didn't touch a rail after ballcontact. when asked if this was a foul, she said that she didn't see anything wrong with the shot. but the whole audience saw the incidents but we can't say anything because it would be a public interference... and the ref didn't see anything....
after the match, the coaches/teamleaders of The Netherlands wanted to protest, but after talks they decided to just give a letter to the board with the reasons why they wanted to protest, but didn't do that.
the board decided a few hours before the semi had to be played that she was disqualified....

Why wasn't there a team championship this year in Germany, there has been every other year?

They decided to make the team event a seperate tournament which will be held later in the year with prize money!
I like the sound of the prize money part but i must say that i liked the EC better when the team event was at the same time.

Are you talking about the Simonis Challenge Cup / European Club Team Cup in Fulda later in the year dazzler, or a separate event altogether?

P.S - managed to get in the SAM Hotel, cheers for your help with that :o)-
