If the entries keep on coming in i may have to increase the competition to 48. What do you all think??

8 groups of 6.......is there enough time to get all the matches in 1 day??

8 groups of 6? That is about 25 matches per group to be slotted in before qualification, then knock outs, not an expert on this but thats an awful lot of pool!!

Leeboy - welcome to pro9, there will be 2 tables per group with a possibility of 2 spare tables to play extra games if we need them.

If we increase the entries to 48 i think we will still be able to get all the games in within the time planned.

Might be an idea to speak to Kev regarding the tournament he ran yesterday.

There were groups of 5 players per group and there was a late finish time, groups of 6 would be a massive days pool and probably not finishing before 2am - 3am, even with the spare tables in use.

some of the groups yesterday were 6 in a group and it was race to 7, if you take it down maybe by 1, not that players like this, it might shorten the day if 48 players are a must, it depends on if people want more prize money and games or a shorter day.

If i get 48 entries the group stages will have to be dropped to races to 5 to ensure that the tournament does not finish in the early hours.

I think that the last 16 will still be played to 9 and the final race to 11 though.
