Keep the suggestions coming guys because we are listening ..but we do want to give the tour a chance to bed in before we dive in and start changing stuff. You'll understand this is a brand new tour that's got off to a great start and this is not a time for impulsive decisions ...but that doesn't mean we aren't listening and taking on board suggestions. MachineGun, everything you say is true, but if in reality this always happened (full events) then BPPPA and pro tour of old would all have had full fields. They didn't. It's just an area worth noting. Someone must have the 100 - 128 spots, its very important those players keep coming. Yes its up to them at the end of the day, but the incentive helps. The incentive for me is to beat the best players and win tournaments, the money is just a bonus.
Obviously, I'm not good enough to be doing that at the moment so the incentive for me is to do well enough to stay on the tour.
(Just noticed your from Durham Mal, I'm off there tonight!)

From the point of prize money I think we must all agree that at the moment nobody is going to get rich from playing on the tour. We have all set ourselves targets and I would bet that very few players target is financial. Mine is to get through to at least a QF of a Challenge event.
Hopefully though the Tour will prove so successful that in a few years there will be outside sponsorship which will mean the prize money will be in excess of the entrance monies from the players. It wouldn't take a massive amount of sponsorship to make a difference to the prize money paid out.
I think if people are entering the Tour for financial reasons then they are not on the tour for the right reasons.
I have to say that I think the Tour is a great advert for UK 9 Ball pool and shows the talent we have to offer. You only have to look at Daryl Peach (World Champion) Karl Boyes (World Semi-Finalsit), Mark Gray (Euro No1) and the other Euro Tour players who have been successful to see how far the UK has come over the last few years.
Hopefully this can continue so that the GB 9 Tour will become more attractive to the Top Europeans too.

But then would players like me get a place? I'm just enjoying being a part of it, until it gets big and guys like Shaun Murphy and Johnny Archer come over to try and get in on the rewards!
Yes I'm from Durham machinegun, but I play in the Darlington Rileys.
