What we really need is for every pool and snooker club up and down the country to switch off the MTV every evening and switch on EuroSport's IPT coverage. Any publicity is better than no publicity, and I've been to two clubs and asked for it to be put on and people were very impressed to see Ronnie playing pool!

...And is it me or is the camera work actually getting better? I'm really enjoying the coverage now, especially as the field of 36 is comprised of nearly half Europeans too!

Remember we're watching this event LIVE but in America they're still watching re-runs of the "King Of The Hill" event.

:D

North West Rileys don't have Sky Television anymore! Fantastic decision by the area manager!

Instead of watching eurosport they watch Eastenders!

Looks like "Ray" Hundal (as Mark Wildman just called him!) is the days first winner, with an impressive 8-2 against Rodney Morris.

I don't think the main Eurosport commentator has pronounced a single player correctly today! Even when Roxton shows him hows it done!

Just saw the end of the Van Den Berg v Strickland game - I know alot of it is for the TV, but Strickland must be the most arrogant man I have ever seen in a cue sport. He talks while Van Den Berg is playing and then refused to look at him when they shook hands. When Van Den Berg pointed out that he was very rude, Strickland replied that Van Den Bergs 'people' acted like idiots!!

I thought it was hilarious. Shame the commentator wouldn't shut the the devils playground up when the players were talking.

Can we start a petition?

There's only one guy who can pull this off. With aplomb.

One guy who's pool knowledge far exceeds all others.

Men want to be like him, women want to be with him.

Who is this plucky lad???

Haven't you guessed???

Big Dave Knight for commentator!

C'mon everyone...

big dave knight...

Big Dave Knight...

BIG Dave Knight...

BIG DAVE KNIGHT!!!!!

C'mon Eurosport, the "people" want BDK on telly. Again.

Forget Chuck Norris. I heard that when Big Dave Knight yawns in the morning (that is, on the one night of the year which he sleeps), he absorbs the power of several galaxies.

At the last 'lunar' eclipse, it wasn't the moon that blocked out the Sun, it was Big Dave Knight.

Over to you...

x

BS

Strickland wears golfing gloves and has tennis raquet tape on his cue. He also seemed to be wearing his good old finger extensions.

the guy is just a total egg!
