I was thinking about this, for me, the main reason is due to the fact that the live coverage is shown around the UK and Europe.

The King of the Hill tournament's highlight programmes focused around all tables, only really showing one rack highlights from a lot of matches.

Because the US audience is only getting highlights, I would of thought that the production would be focusing on highlights from outside and tv tables, rather than showing just one whole match like we have on Eurosport.

like I said! Ronnie is on the tv table to draw in viewers. More people have heard of Ronnie than Reyes, Sigel, Pagulayan, Bustamante etc...

If a snooker fan or general sports fan is looking at Tv Listings. They are more likely to tune in and watch if they see Ronnie O'sullivan's name or face rather than anybody elses!
