QUOTE !!! i know this is off topic but is there a 9 ball league in the pipeline riggers at rileys I don't know at this stage but it is comforting to know they appointed a manager with specific responsibility for pool and snooker and I believe they are considering it. We'll have to wait and see and of course GB9 will provide support where we can for any regional league formats that may be introduced, hopefully by linking this with the national tour in some way. It is something we've talked about briefly. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-11-30 15:26 ]

I think Imran beat Darkside 9-5 and Boyzi beat Craig Osbourne by the same scoreline. A top class event, thoroughly enjoyed it!! Looking forward to the next one.

Dyno - Don't forget the Barnsley Open 2007 Speed Pool Champion! None other than Riggers! I'm sure this accolade must be a good thing in my hunt for a cool nickname for my GB9 Shirt Seriously, many many congrats to Imran and Karl. For a so-called 'easy game' where 'anyone can win' wasn't it strange that of the 3 big guns 2 ended up in the final and the other one was beaten by one of those 2 Easy game eh Arfan? And, many congratulations also to Dynamite who couldn't be with us because he was too busy winning the lucrative English Pool International Masters event on Sky TV a few blocks away from us. On a personal note I played quite well this weekend but was disappointed not to turn it into a better finish, losing eventually 9-8 to James Kay in the last 16. James and me always seem to enjoy close matches and they are always difficult to call. This one was eventually settled by a rather unlucky roll on my part in the last rack after a tricky bank shot followed by an extraordinary shot on the 5 from James to take the match. What a pot that was under pressure! Well done James! I'm sure you'll agree these events are getting better and better and, for me this was my personal favourite so far because the weekend was so much fun from start to finish. If you didn't go you missed a real treat in my opinion and if you did many thanks from me & Shir for supporting the event. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-12-03 09:42 ]

How about Lex Luthor? Top event, well done to Lee and Shir once again. Top draw stuff from Imran cleaning up both the big events. Well done to Dyno winning the televised event over the road at miscues. Rock and roll old pal, nice earner once again.
