And just to add another stat for you... Since this is the *British* PPPA it's worth noting that the centre of Britain lies some 47 miles NORTH of Rileys, Stretford so this venue is still favouring the southerners somewhat

The centre of Britain is at 54° 0′ 13.18″ N / 2° 32′ 52.28″ W, which is in Dunsop Bridge, Lancashire. FACT! So the more tournaments we have round this part of the UK the fairer the service Ted is giving to the British people

Fact, eh? Is it possible for something that is neither a circle or a sphere to have a centre? More a marketing ploy for certain locations than fact (if there is such a thing as fact that is).

You're obviously a southerner who's bitter and twisted about having to drive up north a few times a year

When there was a northern tour it was very poorly attended by the southern contingent! When even on the southern events I have to travel over 120 miles So I wouldn't say they were actually close. I would say solihull was more central for everyone. How about having my ranking position frozen until we get a "national tour" again. I bet riggers wouldn't be so happy if they were all in Bristol. each event will now cost me over £200. min. That's if I don't eat and drink! ----------------- [ This message was edited by: Shooter on 2006-11-14 20:29 ]

Yeah, not really good news to be honest. I know that Doug's Tour was mostly Southern, but he did spread it around a bit, rather than in one fixed location.
Looks like it might be the EPT and Mickey Flynns tournaments for me in the UK.

I dont agree with the 5 tournamnets in Manchester (even though it is only 40 miles from me) however why dont they try new clubs like Barnsley and Scarborough.
I went to Scarborough and it was lovley bout 20 9 ball tables 5 english full room of snooker and had loads of room to sit around and a differnt venue for a tournament.
Barnsley ive heard thats good.

This is only a short term measure and in the past we have complained about playing in poor clubs. Stretford Rileys is one of the best clubs around, the conditions and facilities are fantastic.
However I do think this calender of events will put off a lot of people paying the £165 membership fee's.

Maybe this is my chance to lose some weight! And if I walk up the week before even better! But I'd rather hitch a lift in Pat's private Jet. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: Shooter on 2006-11-14 20:08 ]

Barnsley ive heard thats good. As Ted said this is because Riley's have withdrawn support for the tour. He's managed to secure Manchester due to the special relationship the BPPPA has with that particular club. I was obviously just having a laugh with our southern friends and agree it's not ideal but we are where we are and thanks to Ted we still start the tour on time in November despite a big set back. So let's stop the wingeing and get behind the tour before there is no tour.

Already there is no "TOUR" Really Lee it just seems Condescending of you, who lives up the road from these events to say stop whingeing. From Paddy I can take it, he is putting up. You are not qualified to judge. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: Shooter on 2006-11-14 20:27 ]
