So a quick update....
Appleton lost to Chinese player I think, 9-3 that was to qualify.
Melling smashed morra 8-3 to qualify.
Boyzi pumped Chinese guy 9-2, and then pumped Kuwait player 9-1 to qualify.
I beat haitao of china 9-6 to qualify....then I last 32 I followed that up with a another solid performance to drill Jason klatt 11-4.
Boyzi and Melling playing now in last 32.
Last 16 and quarters are tonight, semis and final tomorrow.

am i missing sumat here with the tourney

by the looks of it its alternate break so surely same for both players, been watchin the stream and players not exactly tappin the break, more of a smash to me and not easy landing on the 1 ball by the looks of it,if any player was getting a clean shot of the 1 ball then surely theyd be expected to run out, same goes with the cloth or the speed of the cloth, surely again you`d adapt rather quickly to speed of the cloth, not sayin players making excuses up for losing or poor performances or even blaming the conditions/tables

to me fromt he stream looks a normal 9 ball comp, smash the pack, try control the white n hopefully make a ball n land on the 1,not bein funy with this post but cant see much problem with the tourney or like i said am i missing sumat

oh dear thats all our lads out .think what there saying eric is with 1 ball on the spot magic rack 3 point rule easy break and if they dont get a shot after break its curtains with big pockets as well so bit of a lottery after watching a few matches of what i saw for me some players would not have made it to last 32 if pockets was tighter and 1 ball not on spot..

Yes Chris lost in last 32 and Karl and myself lost in last 16.
Karl lost heavily to Akagariyama 11-3 I think......he just could get his hand on the table, and his opponent kept getting on one ball.
I lost to Chinese player 11-7.....I was 8-1 down with doing nothing wrong, just kept plugging away but it was just too bigger hill to climb. Same again, the form on the break was the main difference.

none of the top players were over the moon with the easy break thing here, but I just tried to not talk or think about it too much while I was still in the event. At the end of the day, we all come here to try and win, and even when things don't suit you, you have to try and give yourself every chance to succeed, unfortunately for me this event wasn't to be, so onwards and upwards to next one!!
