Roxton is commentating which is good!

No idea who the other commentator is.

"I wanna go toilet"

Just a quick question. How would you lot have handled that? how would you ask that question live on tv all micced up?

because quite frankly the way he did made me giggle!

I'm not a great fan of 8 ball, but is it just me or is this really a dull/boring game to watch compared to 9 ball.

I really struggled to watch the Ronnie game in its entirety, something unusual for me, as normally love watching cue sports live, especially when theres a character like Ronnie involved!

Also why did they have to go and use the kind of extreme soft colour American camera set up? It makes it really tough to differentiate between the different balls which would be difficult enough all ready due to the fancy camera work anyway! Also the audio/video seems to be outa sync.

Guess I shouldn't be complaining though it's better than nothing!!!

Yeah, all Eurosport live coverage isn't the best, the audio always seems to be a little off.

The production isn't great, but it is the first time live so it is best to let them have one tournament to get it good.

Commentary hasn't been fantastic, I know Roxton and he is a great guy, but maybe his 8-ball knowledge isn't up there to be commentating on something like this. Granted, Eurosport will find it hard to get someone in who is very 8-ball orientated.

Is that Roxton Chapman, Chris? The billiard player?

If yes, what a player he is. Saw him at the World qualifier in Cardif some years back. Loved his composure. Never batted an eye lid when he missed (which was hardly ever). Just got up and sat down. No expression, just a cool customer.

Funny seeing Riggers and Nick Woolerton sat next to Raj. I text them for good measure and saw Riggers go for the phone, he, he!

Hi Brisk- I agree with everything you said! I take Buckster's point about it being Eurosport's first IPT tournament but 8 ball just doesn't capture my attention like 9 ball does and the Souquet-Breedlove match was sooo drawn-out!

Also the IPT website took some time to get going during the KOTH didn't it but you'd have thought that they would have learned from their mistakes wouldn't you. They still don't even have the results up for everyone's first round matches and yet they're now into their third matches of the day! The tournament has generated all this interest so you'd think that they'd be ready to deal with it wouldn't you!

Rant over!

Chris.

Was the Ralf game live? Started at 6-5 or something? Seemed to be on the same table as Ronnie match

Hi again,
No the Souquet match was on before Ronnie's match on the same table. Glad we didn't have to see the whole of that one live lol!

Chris.

Groups 1-20 don't play until tomorrow and that is why there are no scores available for them.

Hi KBuck,
Yeah, edited my post as I'd worked that out myself with a little more thought. Post first, think later on my part unfortunately!

Thanks,
Chris.
