Now that Shane Van Boening is in the US team only heard good things about this guy and winning the US open only enhances that. US definately have really strong team. Strickland has not done much, if you were selecting the best US players on performance he wouldn't be in it. It's a shame it is only a 5 man event, as Immonen, Hohmann, Chamat, are all players we would like to see. It will be a disaster for the event if Steve Davis plays, that would be the only time I would struggle with the team selection. Drago is a bizarre entry, not sure if thats a way of Matchroom getting some snooker viewers to tune in, although he has done well in tournaments.
Mark Gray should be at least considered for the final place, massive performance to win Swiss Open, as well as J Fulcher (sorry may have name wrong) no. 2 in Euro rankings from Britain, although resides elsewhere. Looking forward to watching Stephanov too its nice to see new players, you don't see many in the US team each year.
Think it will be highly unlilkely to be anything other than a US win this year.
