I don't mind all the smug comments, not keen on blatent lies such as i was sharking him but the smug comments matter not a jot to me. The best way to silence those would be for a rematch I suppose and I'm very happy to play anytime Gareth wants to get it back on.
A lot happened that night before the game that you won't believe unless you were there or I told you and I'm not going to do that in case people think I'm making excuses for the game, which I would never do.
The summary of the game is easy really.... I took control and should have gone 7.2 up then killed it off. I had chances to go 7.3 and 7.4 too but didn't take them. From then on Gareth's confidence obviously improved massively and he started to pot ball after ball. These were very good pots too all the way because his patterns are not the best so he was having to really fight for the finishes. He had a few rolls here and there but that was deserved because every time he got himself in trouble he pulled off a good pot under pressure. So I can only give praise for the way he played.
At 9.7 down I was convinced when I got another chance at the table I would pile the pressure on him and swing back the momentum my way. But it wasn't to be because we were playing winner breaks and he just didn't miss from that point on. The short race and winner breaks suited Gareth so it's no surprise he let me choose the game then he chose everything else about the format. I've been told I was silly to agree to this but at the end of the day I believe in my play when under pressure and I knew it would be a good learning experience for me too. I'm also not one for shying away when confronted with challenges like the one that was offered so publicly here for no apparent reason.
So, if you believe all the hype coming from the darkside you would expect him to accept the challenge of a rematch over a proper distance...
£2000, alternate break, race to 21.

That's the reply I expected. Also we all know that wasn't your money that was bet last weekend. You were too scared which is why you called off the match in front of loads of witnesses. Then all of a sudden you found a backer and the match was back on but for half the bet you originally challenged me for. So don't give me all that ***p.
We all know why you won't play again in a proper race. If it's such an easy victory for you you would jump at the chance to take an easy £2k. We don't want to hear your continual nonsense so it's time to put up or shut up.

As Lee so rightfully says, put up or shut up ? Should be an instant reply from accepting the rematch, as in your words you CAINED and DESTROYED him.
Your flippant posts are starting to annoy the stuffing out of me to be perfectly honest, can you just post a thread properly without all the darkside dribble ?

not taking no sides here but if it was a one off game and no intention or mention of playing 2 games,i think darkside has every right to refuse another game and hang about on here with the bragging rights.be nice though for the re-match to a race to 21 as i thought a race to 11 was silly given the amount of ease there is to playing 8 ball on these tables.the race and winner breaks were wrong imo,anyway it was only for a bag of sand so not really soul destroying only the banter hurts a little  who`s next on your hit list darkside to fund your trip to the U.S of A  (try that appleton kid,his potting is pants but his got a good break  ) [ This message was edited by: striker on 2007-08-30 11:39 ]

There's no way Riggers would be posting in the same way as Darkside9 if he had won the match as he is a gentleman and a true professional sportsman. Come on Gareth, sort it out mate! This match was a great thing to happen for UK pool - don't go and ruin it with sh*tty comments as this not only takes away from a solid performance but makes things difficult for others wanting to do this kind of thing in the future!
