Hi, sorry for my late response. David Walsh and I are unable to participate, can you please take us off the list. Thanks in advance.

I have updated the first post to show confirmed entries. Prize money has obviously been reduced.

Anyone else who wants to play in this event i need the entry fee by Tuesday.

Is this definately going ahead now Daz despite the drop in numbers?

Still looks worth while to me.

Everyone who put their names down originally should just send their money now.

This really sums things up IMHO. Players should show a little respect to the people putting hard work in to organise events on their behalf, which lo and behold includes paying for events they say they wish to enter.

Really sorry Dazza as away this weekend so could never have played. Will have a go at the next one and send you the money by the deadline you stipulate.

Sheesh.

Ok to sum things up this event WILL NOT be going ahead now as i still only have 14 payments. Thankyou to all those who did pay me in advance as i asked for, but i do have to think about everyone coming to the event and a couple of people have told me who have already paid that they won't be coming if the entries were less than 32.

I can fully understand there point as the travel expenses and accomodation for some of them would more or less take up the winning prize if they were fortunate enough to win.

Thanks for all the posts other players have posted on this forum trying to get people to pay up.
Johnathan - i think that the above post sums things up really, i have put alot of time and effort into arranging this event including alot of text messages and phone calls at my expence. It really does anger me that people put there names down to play and then you never hear anything from them again.

If anyone who reads this post knows someone who put there name down but could'nt send payment then please let them know the event is cancelled as i won't be held responsible for someone turning up at the club saturday to find out it's not going ahead.

I am playing in Barnsley on the 25th May and again on 21st-22nd June and also in Nottingham on 29th June and the only payment i need to send is 21st-22nd june one, which i will send this week.
If you want to play in the events organised why should'nt you pay when you are supposed to.

Anyway enough of me banging on about being let down, anyone who has paid me through paypal will get a full refund through paypal. People who sent cheques i still have a few i have'nt cashed so i can return them to you or i can shred them.
I will contact each and evey person who has paid me to see how they want refunding.

The manager has asked me to run another event in July which i am happy to, but afraid the same thing might happen. Any suggestions about this event i will gladly receive.

Thanks again eveyone and i'll see you all at either Barnsley or Wealdstone.

Annoying to say the least. Was looking forward to this one. I don't understand why people can't pay as soon as they enter events. It's never more than £25 which isn't a lot of money really. And if you don't think you can afford it then you should not enter. Or enter when you know you have the money. Simple to me, but then i am simple.

WOW!!! Never thought this one would get cancelled after all the interest shown in it - I can't understand that? Does anyone know why so many people aren't going now? Does it clash with something maybe or what?

Dave i asked for payment in advance and only got 14 so decided it would'nt be worth it.
But 26th July will be going ahead i will allow pay on the day at this one.
