Agreed. But having said that the beeb have separate sections for rugby union and rugby league so pool should have its own section ideally.

i know, but rugby union and rugby league are more popular sports then snooker and pool. Ideally i agree that a seperate page would be brilliant, but sharing with the snooker page might get that little bit extra coverage (better than no caverage i suppose)

But placed under snooker is a bit of a problem on the 606 pages... you get the snooker community not really understanding/respecting the discipline, saying its an "easy game", "big pockets" etc. I guess you have to change people's minds from within though..

yes you do, and slowly but surely we'll take over the world
Mwahahahahahahaha
but seriously they can say its and easy game as such but why do they not win world championships ect. Admitidly the potting ect is the same but that is it. safty is similar exept you have to hit a cushion and kick shots/jump shots/ and break shots are totaly different

After the performances at the world championships i can't understand why the americans are still big favourites with the bookies for the mosconi this year.
I think we will win comfortably, thats why i am increasing my usual fiver on Europe to a tenner. (That's confidence!)

when i get paid i might well put a tenner on this. I think it wont be such a walk over as it is in there back yard but i do still think we will win. I think Strickland, morris and archer are in it on merit alone and recent results sugest that they are not in that good a form.
Talking of the mosconi cup i just looked on the history and noticed that the 1994 Mosconi cup was held in romford, essex and the 1995 cup (which Daryl participated in) was held in Basildon, Essex. I think i went to one of these as i remember seeing some of this when i was younger (would have been about 8 at the time) and i live in Basildon as it is.

Mosconi - be careful with your money. The yanks are xtremely good at team events (The top players around Europe have said that to me!), and i think the yanks actually play better with the team pressure than the individual events.
While on paper Europe have a fantastic team - Stepanov will feel the pressure and does not have a good record when under the TV lights, Tont Drago although a fantastic potter and undoubted talent for years and years - has too never played under this kind of pressure and is
i think Daryl, Ralf & Neils hold the key this year. If Tony can Tornado em then Europe certainly could win at a canter, but its never that easy, is it?
id still put money on Europe though....

It's fascinating reading Daryl's interview with Pro9 back in June when he talks about not performing to his ability at the WPCs. 2007 EuroTour German Open Winner Daryl Peach talks to Pro9.co.ukI've got an interview planned with the UK's most recent EuroTour winner too - Mark Gray... And I guess I'll have to do another one with Daryl too when things calm down a bit! ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

I knew Daryl Peach when he was just an Apricot Interviewer: "Daryl, why do you keep your chalk in your pocket?" The Champ: "I once lost a piece putting it on the rail" [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2007-11-15 17:30 ]

Is it Dazzler? Or is it DAZ? I remember when you won the European Masters in a little place called Black .....something or other. You said in your players questionnaire that your ambition was to be a household name.
I thought: What, like Domestos?
Well Daz is the closest that you have come. But I feel that all that is about to change. Your in show business now.
Still got a few more pics up my sleeve,

Daryl the picture was taken at The Bowlplex in Portsmouth. Have plenty more but I'm saving them for the book. My favourite is the one in Tokyo where you are trying to get the donkey up the stairs. Should have used the lift.
