Riggers, sometimes the "obvious" needs to be stated.....take for instance the situation of the tour upto about 4 months ago......until players started mentioning that the tour needed score boards, match times, tapped balls, alternate break etc etc, it was just plodding along with no real direction. Once these "obvious" ideas were mentioned and along with the EPT already doing them the bpppa tried them out......and its made a big difference to be quite honest....these Obvious changes would not have happened if players hadnt gone to Ted and said "this needs to be done" Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to see! Trever, a lot of players didnt know about the Rileys money for the main, junior, and wheelchair tours, and how much the amount was so dont feel left out. I have a very good idea but its not for me to say. And it is pointless going on about the membership fees because as you say its been covered before. ......and as you say, the calender is a bigger deal than some players think......it better for me that all the events are in Manx, but its not about me, or any other individual......its about the whole pool playing community....and the sooner everybody realises this the better! As i said earlier though, im sure Ted will be on this. -----------------

danny, I'm confused with some of your comments on this topic, such as 'stop moaning and put in a bit of effort and get to every event no matter what. The more people who take that attitude, the sooner the BPPPA will be back on track! ' When was the last time you graced us with an appearance on the tour? ???

Following the sport is my passion. Not playing it.
My mummy and daddy won't pay for me to play anymore. They stopped giving me my spends because I was naughty.
And I was going to offer to find some cheap hotels around my area and even put a few people up until the patronising started.

Theres plenty of other people who you don't share the same views with. But you don't patronise or get personal with them. Becuase you know you have to face them physically at the next event.

If two nights in a hotel is really going to mean you're family can't eat for the month.
Then sleep in your car.

Danny, so if you aint gonna support it by turning up and putting your hard earned cash into the tour, why do you think you have the right to preach to others about 'putting the effort in' etc etc. Hypocritical I think.

Not hypocritical at all.
I thought I didn't have hard earned cash? I still live with mummy and daddy remember.
It's not hypocritical because if I was a player on the tour, I would put my hard earned cash into it. I would work my balls off so I could compete in as many events as possible. I wouldn't be moaning about having to travel.

Don't think you'll find one of my comments Danny saying any such think as you live with your mummy and daddy so stop jumping on your high horse. And even if you live with parents, you can still have hard earned cash ! Back to the point, if you aint prepared to put the time, effort and money into the tour yourself , you should stop preaching to others because you are just winding people up. Everyime a BPPPA topic comes up for discussion on this forum ou just start beating your drum , defending it to the hilt no matter what and talking like a five year old. Grow up !

But you are a pool fan. Surely you would do anything to get out of work!!! Don't have a go at the players for not wanting to travel if you can't be bothered when its on your door step.

I don't defend it to the hilt. You just see it like that because we don't share the same views.
I also don't talk like a five year old.
I can preach something that I practise. I put money/time/effort into my passion, no matter how tight money is, i find a way.
And this is your passion...

so why don't you find a way to go to the BPPPA comps ? If pool is your passion as you say, surely you would want to compete with others

cant wait til saturday, i wonder if there will be any pool played
i really think this post should stop, like a couple of people have said lets see what ted has to say, after all he is the man at the centre of it all and at the end of the day if ted cannot find alternative venues down south who wont pay any sponsorship then he has done what he has had to do, maybe the one day pro liscence can be dropped just for the manchester events, if ted reads this post what the the devils playground is he going to think, everyone should air their views to the man in person lets just see what manchester has install for all the players.
one thing i am curious who thinks the manchester event will start on time?

Regarding pool; watching and following the sport is more of a passion, over playing.
My true passion is mixology.
