Good to see the refs doing their job, sounds like Sigel moved a ball with his hand and the ref didn't see it.

Supposedly it is "proper" rules, but if the refs cannot do their jobs, then who knows lol.

Yeah, that is the American Pool way for you though.

It should be a foul, but the refs are not properly reffing, just standing by the side, not how you should ref a game.

Hi everyone,
Well those of you who know more about cue construction than me have a look at the reply of the match tomorrow and see what you think but to me that looked exactly like the one piece ferrule and tip I have on my phenolic break cue!

Maybe I'm doing Earl a disservice but if that was a phenolic tip then he should forfeit the match or something!!

Chris.

EDIT: Oops sorry- didn't realise how quickly the thread had moved on!!

I made some further inquiries....its any amount of leather in the tip or ferrule would constitute a legal cue. So if for example (and please don't ask me how) the phenolic contained leather, that would be ok. I think that is what Predator were saying and the IPT have agreed.

They only show live matches, not seen any scores at all, bit dissapointing to be honest.

You would think the IPT site would have proper live scoring, ridiculous.

i guess if they had comnpuiter score screens they would be able to, but i guess if they are using cards it must be hard to keep track

Just to let you know. The shaft that Earl put on his break cue was a Cuetec Vortex Break Shaft.

They are just a normal shaft with ferrule and seperate tip. The ferrule is black rather than white and is just a harder version of the white ferrules. The tip is a seperate all leather layered hardened tip.

So basically, it is a legal shaft. Same as any other apart from harder materials and different colour. Still a seperate leather tip!

here you go guys...

these are very decent break shafts by the way, and if you are willing to spend the money they make a great half to a good break cue.

I use one with a 21oz Viking butt. I had to have half a joint made which was expensive because the thread and pin dimensions that cuetec use is very rare.

Hi Chris,

Yep 8 for 8 so far thanks to the advice of Andy Richardson

Just waiting for alcano to hopefully beat alcaide to complete the 9 for the accumulator, 8-folds and 7 folds...........not enough to retire on but something to invest in my game if it comes up!!!!!!!

Cheers Andy
