MidlandsMosconi

We're doing it again!! After the huge success of this event last year, I am delighted to announce that this event will be coming to Rileys, Solihull once more on Sunday 14th September 2008.

The format will be similar to last year with a mix of single and scotch doubles matches, 9 ball, alternate break:

2 groups of 3 teams round-robin group stage with top 2 finishers through to straight ko semi-final.

The event will consist of 6 teams of 6, cost of entry is £90 per team (payable in advance only).

Winning team will receive £360 + Winners Trophy + Shield (to keep for 1 year)

Runner-up team will receive £180 + trophy

The host club will have 2 teams this year and Rack 'n' Roll Leicsester will be back to defend their title.

Thanks.

Andy Warden

Teams confirmed:

Rack n Roll Leicester (2007 Champs)
Rileys Solihull 'A'
Rileys Solihull 'B'
Rileys Leicester
Rileys Rugby
Rileys Moseley

Just adding this to the Pro Calendar! Sounds very good... I think I went to the last one didn't I?

Edit: Oh yeah, I just found the report on last year's event with tons of photos - looks really nice in the article here: www.pro9.co.uk/html/article.php?sid=493

I'll pass the message on :-) Seriously would you be able to get a team of 6 together from over your way? If not I'm sure there will be a spot in one of the Solihull teams, after all you are fairly regular up there;-)

Does Ipswich count as Midlands? I'm sure they could bang a team together. What about Cambridge, might be a fun day out?

You can't really call Suffolk, Midlands but I'll put you on the reserve list and if we struggle to fill all 8 spots we'll see.

I thought there was only u, ossie and maybe Courtney from over that way, can you def find 6 decent players :-)
